The tournament included 37 teams from the Lower North Island. Head Coach Matt Lint is extremely proud of these young athletes for all the training they have put in through the season and the successes they have had. "They are a talented bunch of basketballers and I was very proud with how they competed against the bigger associations. It is testament to the growth of the game in Kapiti that this is the first time that we have entered three teams into this prestigious tournament. A big thankyou to all the volunteer coaches and managers who are gave up their time to help our youth develop".
